This Bearclaw bit is constructed of polished blue steel and overlaid with hand-engraved sterling silver. The top of the cheek piece swivels separately from the rest of the bit so that the headstall will always lay flat against the horse's head. In a unique design, the right and left bottom segments of the cheek piece are connected by the slobber bar to ensure that they move in unison.

This bit is available with a loose-jawed U.S. (pictured) or snaffle mouth piece.
