This U.S. cheek piece is patterned after a 19th century Army Cavalry bit. The solid-jawed U.S. mouthpiece features a particularly loud cricket. A 2 1/8 inch concha adorns the cheek piece. Hand-engraved sterling silver ornaments have been inlaid and overlaid on blued steel.
