Silver-Mounted Snaffle Bit. This snaffle bit is made from polished and blued steel. It is overlayed and inlayed with sterling silver. It has a 5 1/4-inch mouthpiece. The bar is 3/8 of an inch at the base and inlayed with copper stripes. The ring is 3 1/2 inches. The concha is 1 1/4 inch in diameter and is set on a steel ring. The ring is inlayed with hardened sterling silver and has a flat surface so it will wear well.
