Bear Claw Bit #535
Made of polished, blued steel and overlayed with sterling silver. It has sort of a half-breed mouthpiece which is 5 inches wide and loose-jawed. The port is 1 3/4 inches high. The cheek measures 2 1/2 inches from the center of the bar to where the headstall hooks on and 4 1/4 inches from the center of the bar to where the reins hook on. The part of the cheek that the headstall hooks on swivels separate from the rest of the bit. The rest of the cheekpieces swivel separate from the mouthpiece and are hobbled together by the slobber bar making them move in tandem. This is a very good training and/or transitional bit.
